By using our service you agree to our terms and conditions of business

1. Initial clean

For the initial clean only, there may be a once-off surcharge to cover the additional time needed to bring the windows up to a good standard. This will be explained at the time of signing up.

2. Cleaning method

We use a pure water cleaning system to clean windows. This system is very effective at cleaning general dirt from your windows, frames and windowsills.

Please notify us in advance however, if you have concrete, paint etc. on the windows following building work.

Also note that staining and discolouration on windows and frames caused by chemicals or rust and UV bleaching of frames, cannot be removed using pure water.

3. Frequency of service

For our window cleaning subscriptions, we offer a choice of a regular monthly or bi-monthly window clean, but do ask for some flexibility (a week on either side) due to rain or other factors that may impact our schedule.

4. Bad Weather

We will always try to avoid cleaning your windows in the rain, however we do still work in light rain or short showers.

Our work is 100% guaranteed, so regardless of the weather, we will ensure that you enjoy the same results.

If heavy rain prevents us from cleaning your windows on a scheduled day, we will return to clean them the next working day.

5. Turning us away

We provide an extremely reliable service, but we also appreciate our customers being reliable. We set aside time and space in our schedule to accommodate each clean. On the day of the clean it is too late for us to replace your clean with another.

We contact each customer the day before we visit, providing an opportunity to discuss any complications or additional services needed for the next day’s visit.

As such, if our team is turned away at the door or if you cancel on the day, we reserve the right to charge you the full price of the scheduled clean and / or to cancel any ongoing service with us.

We also reserve the right to charge the full price of the scheduled clean if previously agreed access is not provided by the customer on that day.

6. Cancelling our services

If for any reason you wish to cancel our services you have the right to do so at any time. This can be done by telephone on 07392 762 347 or by email to info@gkwindows.co.uk

However, by signing up to a window cleaning subscription, you agree to using our services for a minimum of 3 cleans. If cancelling before 3 cleans have taken place the remaining cleans will be payable.

7. Complaints procedure

We always aim to provide the best possible service each time we clean your windows and our work is 100% guaranteed. If for any reason you are not satisfied with our work, please be sure to contact us within 24 hours of the clean. A member of our team will then return the next working day to correct any issues free of charge.

Please note that with complaints made after 24 hours, it may not be possible to return to correct any issues.

We operate a no refund policy, but are more than happy to rectify any work that you are not happy with (free of charge) if we are informed within 24 hours of the clean.

8. Confidentiality

All customer information is kept on a confidential database and is not discussed or shared with any individual or company, as is required under the terms and conditions of GDPR.

In addition to this, we do not store any customer banking information. All direct debit mandates are held and protected by our payments partner, GoCardless. For more information please see their terms and conditions here FAQs.

9. Payments

Customers signing up to our monthly or bi-monthly window cleaning subscriptions are encouraged to pay via direct debit. We use a reliable and secure system called Gocardless which can be set up on our payments page. Payments will then be automatically collected 5-7 days after each clean.

Once-off customers who are not signing up to a window cleaning subscription or those requiring other services can also pay by bank transfer or credit or debit card in advance. This can be done over the phone with our office on 07392 762 347. Once payment is made, the job will be booked in and completed within one week.
